Getting Married

Marrying in church is personal, meaningful and spiritual just as you want it to be. Churches are special and unique places to get married in – the prayers, promises and the whole service of celebration become part of your marriage, not just on the day itself but also beyond.
Weddings are in fact some of the most important events that churches are asked to host and here as St Luke’s we specialise in working with bride and groom to create that bespoke wedding service that so many couples desire.

Please contact St Luke’s to arrange an appointment with one of our minister’s to discuss your wedding at an early stage. We will invite you to come to meet us so that we can give you some basic information and discuss your service requirements.

Many couples like to have a photographer or videographer to record images of their wedding. Sometimes they choose both. At St Luke’s we are quite happy for the service to be filmed and for photographs to be taken in the church. All we ask is that they arrange a meeting with one of our ministers before the event to discuss their requirements.

Of course many couples plan their wedding far in advance. They also have questions about cost. For a marriage service at St Luke’s the cost ranges between £325 to £425 depending on what options a couple chooses.
There are of course other legal charges including charges for marriage license certificates and other documents.
